Saturday Afternoon Foreign Film Matinee

The Friends of the Franklin Library will present last year’s Oscar winning Best Foreign Film staring Italian comic Robert Benigni on Saturday, January 13th at 2:30 p.m. The event is free. Popcorn and soda will be served. The film is a story of an Italian comic who is sent to a Nazi concentration camp but is still able to find love and laughs. According to Time Magazine “Although the film is full of laughs, it doesn’t try to hide the horrors of the holocaust.”
The Friends of the Franklin Library is a non-profit, all volunteer group dedicated to the support and enhancement of the nation’s first public library. For more information, please e-mail friendslib@wpi.edu or call Andrea Burke at (508) 520-7243.
