Modernization of the Franklin Housing Authority
The Franklin Housing Authority has been awarded $521,750.00 for several modernization projects by the Department of Housing and Community Development. These projects will include the following:
- Roof replacement on the buildings in our 667-3 development including the community hall and maintenance garage, currently in the construction phase.
- Upgrade electrical service in 28 units of 200-1 housing, currently in designer phase.
- Site improvement in the 200-1 development.
Further, an award of $40,300.00 was issued for the capital improvement planning phase of the heating, hot water and ventilation systems of 40 units in the 667-1 development.
Franklin Housing Authority is planning to renovate and expand its current office to accommodate ADA regulations and provide space for our growing needs.
